🎨 WORKSHOP FACILITATORS — War Streets Art Salon

Freelance Position 

War Streets Art Salon’s team is growing!
 We’re looking for amazing, creative minds to join us as Facilitators to co-create inspiring, joy-filled art experiences in a collaborative, vibrant studio setting.

🛠 What You’ll Do:

  • Develop 2–3 new workshop concepts per quarter, including:

    • Designing the concept

    • Testing it in the studio

    • Creating a photo-ready mockup

  • Prep and facilitate:

    • 1–4 premium workshops per month

    • 1–2 arts clubs per month

    • Private parties or craft café events as needed.

  • Co-facilitate workshops during your training phase; lead them solo once ready

  • Learn from and cross-train with fellow facilitators during team sessions

  • Attend occasional team trainings that foster creative collaboration

✨ This Position is right for you if you are…

  • An artist or creative with strong skills in at least one complex craft/ art medium — and excited to learn more

  • A serial crafter with strong skills in at least one craft/ art medium looking for a fun side gig (perhaps you work a more corporate job and want something fun and crafty to do on the side).

  • Warm, open-hearted, and excited about art as a wellness practice

  • Flexible, reliable, and comfortable leading a room

  • A team player — you love collaboration and feedback

  • NOT trying to start your own workshop brand — you want to grow with a team, not around one

  • Organized enough to make projects run smoothly

  • Passionate about our mission and the people we serve

💖 Bonus Points If You Are:

  • Have restaurant or hospitality experience

  • Have led or attended group art or wellness events

  • Have a BFA or gone to art school/theater school

  • A yoga teacher, therapist, expressive arts facilitator, or art teacher

🚫 Non-Negotiables:

  • Must be skilled in a craft or medium (or several!) and able to learn new ones quickly. Skills in complex crafts is a huge bonus. Such as polymer clay, oil painting, handbuilding, felting, macramé, jewelry making, resin, etc.

  • Must be open-minded, flexible, and a team player

  • Must be genuinely excited about potentially growing with us long-term

💸 Compensation:

  • $125 per premium workshop

  • $75 per co-led premium workshop (while training).

  • $60 per arts club session

  • Bonuses for developing new workshops (paid flat rate or hourly, TBD)

  • Paid team training sessions (flat rate or hourly, TBD)

  • Paid bi-weekly.

📸 CONTENT CREATOR POSITION — War Streets Art Salon

Pittsburgh, PA

Part-Time Freelance Position.

We’re hiring a Content Creator to help us capture the beauty, creativity, and community of our studio. This is the perfect role for someone starting or growing a freelance content career — you'll get paid to create and improve your skills.

Think of this as your paid crash course in content creation — with real-world practice, mentorship, and portfolio growth. You bring creativity and initiative, and we’ll offer vision and feedback to help you level up.

💸 Compensation:

  • $500/month flat rate
    (for 15 content pieces: 10 reels + 5 carousels)

  • Opportunities to increase pay based on content quality, consistency, and initiative

  • You choose when to come in to film and what events you attend

🧠 Important Note:

We’ll provide a clear vision of what we want and ongoing feedback, but we are not teaching you how to make content.
You are expected to:

  • Already know basic video editing

  • Learn/ Understand social media trends in our industry.

  • Manage your own time and workflow

This is perfect for someone self-motivated who wants to build skills and experience, not someone needing formal training.

🎯 What You’ll Do:

  • Film and edit 10 Reels and design 5 carousels each month

  • Attend events or studio sessions on your own schedule to capture media

  • Adapt captions and visual style to fit our brand voice

  • Research trends, pitch ideas, and help shape content strategy

  • Have a decent grasp on editing (CapCut, InShot, etc.)

  • Own a high-quality iPhone.

  • Love storytelling, aesthetics, and documenting community

  • Can work independently and learn quickly
